About

What this is

A daily round-up of what happened in the cyber world, in plain English.

How it works

Each day we pick the stories that matter most: big outages, breaches, ransomware, urgent patches and zero-days, arrests and new rules. Every story has a short summary, a line on why it matters, and links to the original reporting so you can read more and check the facts yourself.

The archive

The home page always shows the latest edition. Earlier days stay in the archive, each on its own permanent page.

Privacy and security

This site has no trackers, ads, cookies or third-party scripts. Images are stored on the site itself, and a strict Content Security Policy only allows the site's own code to run.

Corrections

Stories move fast and early reports can change. Always treat the linked sources as the authority.
